Hi there! I am Kritika 👋

I’m a therapist, an art lover, and a believer in the quiet power of healing. My approach is collaborative and compassionate — like a GPS for your inner world. You decide where you want to go, and together we find the best way there.
To me, therapy is one of the kindest gifts you can give yourself — a space to feel seen, to slow down, and to rediscover the parts of you that already know how to heal.

  • Culturally sensitive. Relational. Trauma-informed.
Therapy with me feels collaborative and grounding — a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out.
I see therapy as a shared journey: you bring your story; I bring curiosity, compassion, and tools to help you connect the dots, regulate your nervous system, and rediscover your inner resilience.

  • I integrate different approaches based on what you need most in the moment — including:

    • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to process painful memories and help your mind and body find resolution

    • Expressive Arts Therapy to explore what words can’t capture

    • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for understanding thought patterns

    • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you identify strengths and next steps

    • Mindfulness-Based Practices to reconnect with the body and present moment

    • Somatic and Parts Work to tend to the deeper emotional and physical layers of your story.

A Few Things About Me

🐾 Animals make me happiest.
I believe they remind us of presence, warmth, and unconditional love — the very things that make us feel human again.

❄️ I love the snow.
There’s something about quiet winter mornings — that hush, that stillness — that always brings me back to myself.

🎨 Art is my language.
Whether I’m painting, journaling, or creating space for others to express, I find that creativity is where healing often begins.

🧩 I love challenges — big and small.
Right now, I’m working on a thousand-piece puzzle, slowly and patiently, just like therapy.

🌍 I’ve lived in different parts of the world.
Each place, culture, and story has shaped how I see people — with openness, curiosity, and deep respect.

🕯️ Connection is everything.
Whether it’s through laughter, deep conversation, or silence — I believe in the healing power of being seen.

Therapy with Kritika

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with over 12 years of experience helping individuals navigate the beautiful mess that is life. Whether it’s understanding tangled emotions, healing from past hurts, or building a life that feels more like yours, I’m here to support you - no judgment, just a lot of compassion and maybe a dash of creativity & fun.

My approach? Think of it as a blend of science, creativity, and human connection. I draw from expressive arts therapy, CBT, mindfulness, EMDR and solution-focused therapy, tailoring everything to you. Basically, we’ll work together to build a toolbox full of strategies, insights, and whole lot of acceptance. I believe in the magic of creativity, mindfulness, and a strong therapeutic relationship to help you uncover your inner strength and face life’s curveballs.

The best part of my work? Hands down, it’s being invited into my clients’ lives and witnessing their incredible transformations. Every step forward, big or small, is a win worth celebrating.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll probably find me creating art, binge-watching my favorite series (recommendations always welcome), or reorganizing my space for the millionth time. I’m also a devoted plant lady, a lover of animals, and always down to admire a cute pet photo or two.

If you’re ready to take that first step - or even just curious about what therapy could look like - let’s connect. Together, we can work toward a life that feels more authentic, fulfilling, and you.

My Journey

I didn’t always know I’d become a therapist — but I did know what it felt like to need one.
When I was sixteen, I reached out for help and didn’t quite find the fit I needed. But even in that difficult experience, I saw how powerful therapy could be when it does work — how being met with care and understanding can change everything. Around that time, there was also a teacher at my school — she wasn’t a counsellor, but she had this way of making people feel safe. She noticed us. She cared. And that stayed with me.

Those two experiences — one painful, one profoundly healing — shaped the way I show up now: human first, therapist second.

Over the years, therapy has been a gift I’ve given myself, too. It’s helped me find steadiness through change, reconnect with creativity, and soften the parts of me that used to always brace for impact. It’s taught me that healing isn’t about becoming someone new — it’s about coming home to who you’ve always been.

As a therapist, I see my role as a collaborator, not a fixer. Think of me as the Google Maps of your journey — you tell me where you want to go, and together we explore the paths that feel most authentic to you. My approach blends compassion, creativity, and curiosity — the three values that guide everything I do.

I’ve lived in different parts of the world, grown up in a multigenerational family, and learned to hold many stories at once — cultural, personal, collective. Those experiences shape how I see people and how I hold space for the complexities we all carry.

The name Soul Prism Therapy comes from that belief: that each of us already holds the full spectrum within us. Sometimes, all we need is the right kind of light — a gentle space to help us see what’s been there all along.

When clients work with me, my hope is that they feel comforted, understood, and seen for who they are. I want them to feel that therapy isn’t a place of judgment or perfection — it’s a space to exhale, to explore, and to remember that they are already whole.

Education and Training

With a profound commitment to mental health and well-being, I bring a unique blend of education, training, and experience to my practice.

I hold an MSc in Developmental Psychology from the University of Lancaster, UK where I specialized in developmental disorders. My academic journey provided me with a solid foundation in evidence-based practices and a deep understanding of human behavior and psychopathology. Additionally, I completed a certification in Arts Based Therapies (Visual Arts, Music, Movement and Mindfulness) from WCCLF, Pune, India.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO - #15214) and hold trainings and certifications in EMDR, Art Therapies, Solution Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT, tapping). My diverse training allows me to tailor treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with.

What Sets Me Apart

I blend traditional psychotherapy with mindfulness and expressive arts to create a therapy experience that feels as human as it is helpful. My goal? To work with the whole you—mind, body, and spirit—in a safe and supportive space where you can unpack your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.

My journey has taken me from the UK to India, and now Toronto, giving me the privilege of connecting with people from all walks of life. Along the way, I’ve trained in psychotherapy and cultivated a deep understanding of human behavior, shaped by the rich diversity of cultures I’ve experienced.

I’ve spent over a decade working with youth, which means I’ve seen it all—big feelings, tricky transitions, and the moments where nothing seems to make sense. My global perspective and hands-on experience help me meet every client with empathy, sensitivity, and a dash of humor when it’s needed most.

What truly sets me apart is how I support you through your journey. I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate the ups and downs, helping you find clarity, build resilience, and uncover the strength that’s already within you. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating—it’s just us, working together, step by step, to help you feel more connected to yourself and your life.
